Recommended Dyslexia Resources
Research-based structured literacy programs, certified providers, and learning resources for dyslexia in Dallas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas regions.
About These Recommendations
The Dallas Branch of the International Dyslexia Association recommends the following resources for students with dyslexia. These include structured literacy programs, qualified service providers, and educational resources that have demonstrated effectiveness in our regions.
All of the recommended programs incorporate the essential components of effective reading instruction: phonological awareness, sound-symbol association, syllable instruction, morphology, syntax, and semantics. They are taught using systematic, cumulative, explicit, and diagnostic methods.
Note: Most programs require specialized training. Be sure to verify that your provider has the appropriate certification for the program they use.
